Main Events
Last week a Google Street View car was spotted in Peru! This is another country stuck in the past that will finally get updated with new gen 4 imagery. According to comments on social networks cars were already driving for weeks around Lima and possibly further in the east. It may take a few months before the data is released.
Another interesting event is an announcement from the Oromia Tourism Council in Ethiopia. The council announced supporting Google Arts & Culture and Street View projects in this region. Will Ethiopia get Street View? You can read more about it in our dedicated post.
Also last week the following countries obtained their first May 2022 imagery: Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey
Finally we can highlight some nice new additions in Chile as Google released new imagery in coastal and mountainous areas of Araucanía and Santiago regions.

Last week updates were found in 28 countries. Notable countries are Chile receiving updates in new regions such as Bío Bío and Los Ríos, and more countries getting May 2022 imagery.
