Main Events
- February 2023 coverage is now available in Japan, the Philippines and South Africa.
- January 2023 coverage is also available in South Africa.
- An large update happened on the list of future coverage this week:
- Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Sweden were added to the list between March and September
- Latvia was added to the list between March and October
- Italy was added to the list between March and November
- Germany was added to the list between April and October (the entry is not visible yet)
- Chile and Peru were removed from the list
- Switzerland, which was added last week, is now removed from the list as the start for 2023 is now to be determined
- In Colombia Bogota was removed from the list
- For the United States, Washington DC and the following states were removed from the list: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
This marks the beginning of the 2023 season for many countries. However many entries are still outdated while countries such as Bangladesh, Panama or Rwanda are still missing. Some entries even have wrong dates such as the USA entries starting in January 2023 but ending in December 2022. This shows this list is not 100% reliable which is unfortunate as this is the only official source of data from Google.
New Coverage
In Argentina another uncovered part of route 40 was added. The longest route of the country is almost fully covered now, with one stretch still missing in the north.

In Peru, Moquegua route 109 was added southeast of Arequipa.

South Africa saw many new roads and streets added in KwaZulu-Natal around Durban.

In Limpopo, new roads were also added around Polokwane.

New countries got their first 2023 imagery and South Africa got its first main update of the year with new roads and many updates.
In Chile the northernmost region of Arica and Parinacota finally received the update from the car that drove there in July.
