Main Events
An update happened to the list of future coverage last week. While no changes are visible on the website, Google did add Qatar in the data file. This confirms the job offer from DeRisk about a Street View driver in this country that was found two weeks ago.
The list shows the 8 stadiums that will host the games for the 2022 Football World Cup but also the city of Mesaieed in the south of the country. Weirdly enough, this city doesn’t have any stadium and no other city is listed. Therefore it is unknown if regular street coverage will be made.
This update brings a lot of credibility for the potential addition of Cyprus to Street View as the job offers have the same description and are both from DeRisk. According to them, the cars should be driving in the country soon, if not already.
Finally August 2022 imagery is now available in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain and Thailand. Colombia also got its first June 2022 coverage and Hong Kong got updated to July 2022.
Continuous Updates
Last week updates were found in 19 countries.
Most of the week was calm without any big update. The most interesting one was in Montana at the end of the week, with the US-2 finally being completed in an area exclusively covered in gen 1 imagery from 2007 / 2009.
Some other countries also got many addition such as new towns in India (always with low quality coverage) or new roads in Austria, notably in the west.

Google Car Spotting
Last week Google Street View cameras were reported 75 times by people from 24 different countries.
Notable areas are Luxembourg which is getting another update this year, Melilla where the car seemed to drive more than a single day and Kenya where the pickup is still driving around the country with a Trekker.
