Every time Google updates the list of places that are going to be covered by the Street View cars we do a brief summary of what changed and see if new places are coming on Street View.
This update is a quick one: Google simply added Estonia in the countries that will be updated in 2021. This was to be expected after Lithuania and Latvia being updated as well. Estonia will be visited by Google between July and September.
Google as usual provides a list of regions and districts however it is not sure what are those: Counties? Municipalities? Some of the entries seem to be old parishes, very small places with almost no road at all or simply don’t seem to exist. The only thing that we can be sure is that the whole country will be visited by cars including the islands as the listed places are from all the areas of the country.
FYI the listed “regions” and “districts” are:
Regions: Haapsalu, Kuressaare, Paide, Pärnu, Rakvere, Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi
Districts: Haanja, Puurmani, Torma, Emmaste, Piila, Saarema, Mustjala, Abja-Pauloja, Voru, Perakula, Kullamaa, Manammaa
That’s it for this update. Many entries in the list are outdated by now so we still expect Google to update a lot of them in a near future.
